There are a number of ways to support RMEF’s conservation mission. Find out which gift vehicles might best match with your giving goals.

Giving Toolkit

Stocks/Bonds/Mutual Funds

By making a gift of your appreciated securities, you can avoid paying capital gains tax that would otherwise be due if you sold these assets. Contact us to Learn More.

Donor Advised Funds

Recommend your gift to RMEF. This is a popular and fast growing way to give. Giving through your DAF is easy. Simply contact your sponsoring financial or community institution to recommend a grant to RMEF. Contact us to Learn More.

IRA Charitable Rollover

If you are 70 ½ or older, an IRA charitable rollover gift is a tax-wise way to support RMEF without paying income taxes on the withdrawal. Donations count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Contact us to Learn More.

Memorials and Honoraria

Create a memorial or honorarium to remember or honor your loved ones while helping to conserve and enhance vital elk habitat and continue our traditions. Learn More.

Workplace Giving

Contributing a little each month through payroll deduction adds up to big benefits for wildlife at year's end. RMEF is a member of the Conservation and Preservation Charities of America which is a partner federation of America's Best Charities. Look for the RMEF listing in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) or other workplace giving programs. Many employers will match your donation to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation if they have a matching gift program, in most cases dollar for dollar. Contact your company’s personnel office for the correct application form and return the completed application to RMEF for processing.

Matching Gifts

Many employers will match your cash donation, Sponsor or Life Membership, volunteer hours, or auction item purchases (above fair market value) to RMEF, in most cases dollar for dollar, if they have a matching gift program.

In-Kind Giving

In-kind gifts are contributions of goods or services that can provide significant value to RMEF. Examples of in-kind gifts include valuable hunting equipment, a donated hunting trip through a professional outfitting business, valuable artwork and other goods or services that could be turned into cash for conservation. In-kind giving at RMEF is promoted and celebrated through our Partners In Conservation program.
