Conservation Partner Spotlight: Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s
Supporting RMEF’s mission for nearly four decades.
They gathered in remote north-central Wyoming in the Bighorn National Forest. A Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation volunteer project to improve passage for elk, mule deer, moose, pronghorn antelope and other wildlife by removing old, woven wire fencing and replacing it with wildlife-friendly fencing. The source providing the new fencing is an outdoor industry leader with a headquarters more than 1,100 miles away in Springfield, Missouri. That leader is long-time RMEF supporter Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s. Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s has supported RMEF for nearly four decades, contributing millions to RMEF’s land conservation and access, habitat stewardship and wildlife management projects. Thanks to its partnership with RMEF, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s has helped conserve more than 28,736 acres of habitat, enhance more than 39,864 acres of habitat and open or improved access to more than 144,869 acres.
